Duncanville Public Library Welcomes Hannah Olsen as New Library Director

DUNCANVILLE, TX — The City of Duncanville is pleased to announce the appointment of Hannah Olsen as the new Director of the Duncanville Public Library. With a deep passion for community service and a track record of strong leadership, Olsen, a tenured employee of the library, brings a fresh vision to one of the city’s most cherished assets.

With almost two decades of library service experience in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including 13 years at Duncanville Public Library, Olsen’s institutional knowledge and focus on customer service excellence make her the ideal candidate to lead the library.

“We are thrilled to promote Hannah to Duncanville Public Library Director,” said Douglas Finch, City Manager. “Her understanding of our community and commitment to a fresh approach will help shape the library’s future while honoring its strong tradition of service.”

The Duncanville Public Library aims to enrich lives, stimulate imagination, and nurture a greater sense of community by serving as a vibrant hub for education, collaboration and innovation. From a robust collection of books, e-resources, and media, to free programs for children, teens, and adults, the library is dedicated to community enrichment and lifelong learning.

Under Olsen’s leadership, the library aims to further expand its programming and outreach and explore new partnerships to drive greater library impact throughout the community.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Duncanville Public Library as Director and excited to collaborate with the outstanding staff in a new capacity,” said Olsen. “Our library is known for its customer service, knowledgeable and caring staff and convenient access to computers, technology and equipment.  With an eye toward continuous improvement, I look forward to leading the evolution and expansion of our services and programs as we strive to create meaningful connections and engaging experiences for all community members.”
